Counseling Services

Locations in Weyburn and Estevan offer free Information and services to both adults, young adults and children who are experiencing or know of someone experiencing the following issues:

  • Parenting / parent child conflict

  • Self-esteem / assertiveness

  • Communication / social skills

  • Peer conflict / bullying/ teasing

  • Victims of / witnesses to violence

  • Dating violence / abuse

  • Grief/losses / trauma

  • Separation / divorce

  • Healing after abuse

  • Anxiety / stress

  • Depression / suicidal thinking

  • Eating disorders

  • Couple counseling Consultations

 The South Central Health District provides counselors for adults, and youths who may be affected by separation or disruptive family situations. These programs are The Adult Community Services Program and The Child Youth Services children/youths under 18 years of age.  For more information please contact the Weyburn Community Health Services.

Confidentiality

Services are confidential with the exception of: disclosures of abuse (under 16) and threats of suicide or homicide which must be reported; when records are subpoenaed by the courts; or when release of information is authorized by client or parent.  When child abuse or neglect is suspected or also when self harm or harm to others may occur.

Children under 16 require parental permission to obtain services. Youth 16 to 18 may refer themselves without parental consent.
